City Council Minutes 12-22-1975REGULAR MEETING OF THE MONTICELLO CITY COUNCIL
December 22, 1975 - 7:30 P.M.
Members present: Con Johnson, Denton Erickson, Stanley Hall,
Dick Martie, Gene Walters.
1. Presentation on overall parks and open space planning
and site design proposal.
Mr. Michael Gair, of Howard Dahlgren Associates, presented
proposal to city council.
After presentation and discussion pertaining to areas of
study, costs, specific proposals and other items council
consensus was to table any decision for the present. Mr.
Gair was requested to send the city some specific studies
that were done for other cities to give council a better
concept of what the study would consist of.
2. Consideration of resolution entering into Maintenance
Agreement with Wright County.
Motion by Erickson, seconded by Martie, and unanimously
carried to adopt resolution. City would receive $643.89
per mile for 3.876 miles maintained or $2495.72 for 1976.

3. Discussion on skating rink custodian applicants.
Motion by Erickson, seconded by Walters and unanimously
carried to have City Administrator choose individual from
23 applicants and set up definite set of regulations
for custodian to follow.
4. Consideration of transfers.
Motion by Walters, seconded by Martie and unanimously carried
to approve the following tansf ers :

5. Consideration of approval of minutes of December 8 and 11 , 1975
There being no objections, the minutes approved as presented.
6. Consideration of bills.
Motion by Martie, seconded by Erickson and unanimously carried
to approve bills as presented. (See supplement 12-22-75#2.)
7. Presentation of Comprehensive Utilities Plan.
John Badalich, consulting engineer, briefly reviewed and
highlighted the Comprehensive Utilities Plan. City council
to meet in joint session with the planning commission to
review in detail the third or fourth week in January.
8. Special meeting.
Special meeting to be held December 30, 1975 at the new
maintenance building at 2;00 P.M. to discuss wages for
1976, liquor store manager position and various commission
appointments for 1976.
