The Parks Commission discussed possible projects r inclusion in the 2007 budget. These include

Wednesday July 19 2006 - 4: 30 p.m.
"To enhance community pride t rough developing maintaining
City parks with a sta dard of quality."
Members Present:
Fran Fair, Larry Nolan nd Rick Traver
Members Absent:
Ben Hitter, Nancy Mc affrey and Council Liaison, Tom Perrault.
Others Present:
Public Works Director ohn Simola and City Administrator Rick
W olfsteller.
1. Call to Order.
Chair Nolan called the meeting to order at 4:3 p.m. and declared a quorum present.
2.
John Simola reviewed the results of the adv isement for bids for the fencing at Riverside
Cemetery. Three types of fencing were bid e ch including an option for decorative finials: 1) 4'
high wrought iron fencing; 2) 4' high steel fe cing and 3) 4' high aluminum fencing. The
aluminum fencing came in at the lowest price with a low bid of$36,995.00 for 1225 linear feet
of fencing. John Simola submitted pictures fthe proposed fencing style for the Commission

John Simola noted that the existing fencing ill be removed and what can be salvaged will be
used along the east side of the cemetery. Par s Department staffwill restore the salvaged
fencing and install it next year. He also revi ed the work being done in this area as part of the
2006 Core Street Project.
City Administrator Rick W olfsteller addresse funding for the work. He noted that certain
