EXTRACT OF MINU'T'ES OF MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF MON`I'ICELLO, WRIGHT COUNTY, MI13NESOTA
RESOLUTIOiv ACCEPTING .PID
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the
Council of the Village of Monticello was duly held at the Vill-age
Hall_ on the 22nd day of June, 1971, at 8:00 o'clock p.m.
The following members were present:
Ron Schlief, James Maus, Richard Martie, Walter Markling and Bill
Sandberg.
The following members were absent:
none
Councilman Martie introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the
following impL.:.v. ements , to wit:
Report February 17, 1971. Storm Sewer Improvements to cover
that portion of the Village lying Louth of the railroad tracks,
west of Cedar Street, east of Maple Street frol<< tho railroad tracks
south to 6th Street and east of the west eda.e of Locust Street from.
6th Street South to Interstate #r94. Said project shall include
Drainage for the Interstate Highway with State Participation under
State Project No. 8680-53
bids were received, open and tabulated according to law and the
following bids were received complying with the advertisement.

WHEREAS, it appears that Standard Construction Company of
Duluth, Minnesota is the lowest r( ---s ,C.nsible bidder, and
WHEREAS, -LL State of Minnesota will pay a portion of said
contract costs and the Village share is estimated to be $63,709.29,
which is below the estimates presented at the public hearing on
June 17, 1971
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COU14CIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF MONTICELLO:
"l. The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to enter_ into the attached contract with
Standard Construction Company of Duluth, Minnesota in
the name of the Village of Monticello for the improvement
aforesaid according to the plans and specifications therefor
approved by the Council and on file in the office of the
Clerk.
"2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits
made with their bids, except that the deposits of the
successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be re-
tained until a contract has been signed."
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was
duly seconded by Councilman Markling and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Ron Schlief, James Maus, Richard Martie, Walter Markling and Bill
Sandberg.
The following voted against the same:
none
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting
Clerk of the Village of Monticello, Minnesota, hereby certify that
I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of
minutes of a regular meeting of the Village Council of said village
held June 22, 1971, with the original thereof on file in my office
and the same is a full, true and complete transcript therefrom
insofar as the same relates to the issuance and sale of bonds for
storm sewer improvements of the village.
