City Council Resolution 1978-08RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT
AND CALLING HEARING ON 1978-1 IMPROVEMENT
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Monticello, Minnesota as follows:
1. It is hereby found and determined that Mr. John Badalich, consulting
engineer for the City of Monticello, has reported in a preliminary way that a
local improvement hereinafter described is feasible and may best be made as
proposed, and not in conjunction with any other improvement,.and the estimated
cost of said improvement to the City is $1,52$,600.
2. Said improvement consists of the following:
(A) Extension of Curb, Gutter and Permanent Street Improvements
from the intersection of 6th and Pine Streets to 6th and
Cedar Streets.
(B) Extension of Sanitary Sewer, Watermain, Storm Sewer, Curb,
Gutter, and Permanent Street Improvements along all streets
within the following Subdivisions:
Sandberg South Plat
Riverside Plat
Country Club Manor Plat
Kampa Estates Plat
(C) Extensions of Sanitary Sewer, Storm Sewer, Curb, Gutter, and
Permanent Street Improvements through Lauring Hillside Addition
from the intersection of 7th and Cedar to Washington and 7th
Street.
(D) Extensions of Sanitary Sewer, Storm Sewer, Watermain, Curb,
Gutter, Street Lights and Permanent Street Improvements through
all streets within the Holker Subdivision Plat.
(E) Extension of Sewer and Water from a point on Golf Course Road
(W. County Road 39) approximately 950' west of the intersection
of Golf Course Road and Elm Street to and along portions of.
Golf Course Road to the interstate 94 overpass.
( } Extension of Watermain and Bituminous Surfacing on Chelsea
Road from Lot 4 Block 2, Oakwood Industrial Park east to Lot
Block 2, Oakwood Industrial Park.
It is proposed to assess all or part of the cost against the aouttig
property owners including the following areas:
1} Sandberg South Plat
2 Riverside Plat
.3 Country Club Manor Plat
4) Kampa Estates Plat

7) Lots 4 and 5 Block 2 and Lot 6 Block 1 Oakwood
Industrial Park
8) All property abutting Golf Course Lane (West County
Road 39) from intersection of Golf Course Lane and
Elm Street west to I-94 Interchange.

4. Said Proposed improvement shall be designated as the=197$-1 Improvement.
5. A public hearing will be held by the City Council on Monday, the 12th
day of June, 1978, at the Monticello City Hall on the proposed improvement.
6. The City Administrator is authorized and directed to cause notice
of the time, place, and purpose of said meeting to be published twice, a week
apart, in the Monticello Times, the official newspaper of the City. The last
publication shall be not less than 3 days prior to the date of said meeting
and said notice shall also be mailed to the owners of property in the area
proposed to be assessed not less than 10 days prior to date of said meeting.
Motion by Phil White, seconded by Arve Grimsmo, to adopt Resolution
this 8th day of May, 1978.
