Planning Commission Minutes 10-23-1978 (Special Meeting)
~ SPECIAL MEETING
MONTICELLO PLANNING COMMISSION
October 23, 1973 - 5:00 P.M.
Members Present: Jim Ridgeway, Denton Erickson, Fran Fair, Dave Bauer.
Loren Klein (ex-officio).
Member Ab sent: Fred Topel
Purpose of Meeting: To Hold Public Hearing on the Conditional Use
Permit Request by the Monticello-Big Lake
Community HOsPital Relative to the Construction
of an Ambulance Garage.
According to Monticello City Ordinances, a hospital is a conditional
use within an R-B Zone, and as a result, any additions or attached
facilities or detached facilities related thereto require conditional
use permits.
.
Willard Anderson, a property owner on River Street, indicated he
had no objections relative to the proposed location, which was
east of the Hospital. Dr. John Kasper also indicated that he has
no objections but would like to be notified if the location would
be changed.
Loren Klein, Monticello Building Official, indicated that it was his
understanding that the Hospital intended the Ambulance Garage to be a
temporary facility and it would be a wood structure. Since there was
nobody present from the Hospital District, and there were no definite
plans presented as previously understood to be ready for this meeting,
a motion was made by Denton Erickson, seconded by Dave Bauer and
unanimously carried to table action until the necessary information
could be made available. It was the consensus of the Commission that
they would agree to hold another Special Meeting if it was necessary.
Motion was made by Fran Fair, seconded by Dave Bauer and unanimously
carried to adjourn.
