Regular meeting of the village council held theis day. All members present.
Minutes of previous meetings were read and approved with no objections.
Motion by Hickman to accept resignation of Leo Baker as village treasurer.
second by Adams. Carried..

Leo Baker was sworn in as village trustee. Dick Adamson sworn in as Clerk.
Frid Hickman was appointed acting mayor in1absence of Mayor Anderson.
Motion by Hickman to designate Wright County State Bank as village des-
pository. e Second by Adams. Carried Unanimously.
Motion by Hickman to adopt a resolution that the office of village treasurer
is vacate due to resignation of Leo Baker to accept the office of village
trustee. Second by Adams. Carried.
Wm.Jongewaard was nominatedFav village treasurer by Adams.
Motion by Adamson that nominations for treasurer be closed. Second by Baker.
Vote on treasurer. Carried unanimously. Carried.
Motion by Adamson to designate Monticello rimes as official village
newppaper. Second by Adams. Carried unanimously.
Motion by Hickman for council to meet the first Monday of the month and if
,,it is a holiday on next business day of the week. Second by Adams. Carried
unanimously.
Discussion was held relative to lighting the parking lot and alley leading
to parking and opinion by Goggins thatthe villagd has no authority to lite
the alley going to the parking lot.
Motion by Adams to pay State Hwy Dept the $878.70 for muperiision and
inspection on Trunk hwy 152. second by Hickman carried.
Following committees were proposed by Mayor Anderson. Street Hickman,
Adamson. ;dater and Sewer; Adamson ::dams, Baker. Liquor; Hickman, Baker.
Park; Adams, Walters, O.S.Johnson. Health Officer; Dr. Ellison. Health
Board; Harld Peterson O.S.Johnson.
Motion by Hickman to accept the committees as proposed by the mayor.
Second Baker. Carried.
Motion by Adams to make clerks salary $75.00 per month as of Jan 1, 1961.
Second by Baker. Carried. Adamson Aostaining.
Motion by Adams to pay bills as read. Second by Hickman. Carried Unanimously
Motion by Adams authorizing the sale of $50,000 of treasury bills to be
transferred to the general improvement fund at Wright County State Bank
with which to pay December estimates for newer and treatment plant work.
second by Hickman. Carried unanimously.
Motion by iiickman'to hire Herman Lubbers as liquor store bartender at
salary of $325.00 per month for 48hr. week and usual village employee
privileges. Second by Adamson. Cariied.
