City Council Minutes 06-05-1961June 5, 1961
Regular meeting heald this day. Members present, Adamson, Adams, Anderson
Absent, Baker, Hickman. Minutes of previous meetings were read and
approved. Motion by Adamson to pay bills as read.. A detailed list of
bills on file in the office of clerk. second by Adams, Carried.
Letter of resignation from the village coundil was read.. Motion by
Adams to accept the resignation of Fred Hickman form the village council.
Second by Adamson Carried. Council meet with the representative of
Trinty Lutheran Church and discussed the best way to serve their property
with sanitary sewer. No decision made.
On motion adjourned,

June 12, 1961
Special meeting held this day with Norm Krueger to discuss certain
sewer extensions. Present, Adamson Baker Anderson. Upon discussing
the bid of Jay W. Craig Co. for the resurfacing the streets and being
advised by Mr. Krueger that the actual Bid was $33,208.85 after com-
plete tabulation. This still being the low bid the following motion
was entered. motion by Baker to adopt the following resolution. Be it
resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Monticello Minnesota
as follows: The bid of Jay w. Craig Co of Mpls, Minn. is the lowest
responsible bid for the installation of streets and seal coating per
specifications and the bid in the amount of $33,208.85 shall be and is
hereby accepted. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to enter into contract with said bidders for and on behalf of the Village.
Second by Adamson. Carried. Yes, Adamson, Baker, Anderson.
Motion by Adamson to eliminate extension of sewer from Chestnut and
River to west village limits because of water being above depth of pipe
also to add extension from 3rd. street and Elm south approximately
250' more or leas to serve adjoining property. Second by Baker. Carried.
Motion by Adamson to add storm sewer extension per change order # 2 on
3rd street and Pine. Second by Baker. Carried.
The ordiance in regards to the sewer rates and hook-ups was read and
discusxed at lingth.
The ordiance in regards to the water rates was discussed at lenght
On motion adjourned.
