Oscar Pierson requested permission to run a drain pipe, for the purpose of draining
basement water only, from his house on west river street just outside the village
limits. This wipe to run along river street and into the river under Obk street
just west of block .f61. The clerk was instructed to contact Attorney Glen Swenson
for a legal openion regarding an easment permit for Hr. Pierson,
Motion by Adams to accept the bid of Bud Schleif construction Co. to include both
firebarn and village hall of lightweig'�t block with a concrete ceali_ng for the
total sum of $21,150.00. Seconed by Baker and carried unamously.
Motion by Kasper to accept the bid of Kjellbergs for plumbing of the firebarn and
village hall for t1he sum of $875.00. Seconed by Swanson and carried.
I4 otion by adams to accept the bid of Sc-iluender for gas furnaces for both the fire
warn and village hall -for a total sum of X1,535.00, Second by Ojakangas and carried.
Motion by Swanson to accept the bid of Stans Electric for wieri.ng the fire barn and
village hall for a total sum of IR23.00, Seconed by Kasper and carried.

Special meeting for board of review on real estate and personal property taxis.
Members present- Ojakangas, Adams, Baker, Kasper & Swanson, ABS1244T NONE.
The following appeared before the board of review:
Grace Pratt - questioned the real estate tax on property description /'#19923A, and
complained of unequal personal property taxation.
Dig. J. A. Kasper requested that the real estate valuation be checked on property
description ,#200.9,
Francis Kline questioned real estate tax valuation on blocks 19, 20, 23, & 24 of
lower Monticello with the complaint that value now placed on these lots are not on an
equal basis with others throughout the village.
Francis Kline questioned realestate tax valuation on lots description x#20179 & 20180
as ireing too low in corrpaiXion with others in the village. Francis Kline also conpll ned
that the valuation had not been changed on the business properties sence 1958 and
that they are now too low.
Kenneth Bently requested that the realestate taxis be checked on property description
##20048.
Motion by Kasper to lower the valuation on property description #20048 to $3,000.

Francis Kline questioned the real estate tads on the Co -Op feed ndl.l,
Motion by Swanson to lower the front foot rate of valuation in block 20 to $6.00
per front foot and lots 3, 4, & 5 in block 19 to $12.00 per front foot. Seconed by
Kasper- and carried,
Nathan Adams requested that property description#19937 be changed from nonhome stead
back to YW homestead.
Motion by Swanson to c1jange property description ;#19937 to apply on homestead. Seconed
by Baker and carried,
