Oscar Pierson requested permission to run a drain pipe for the p= -pose of draining
basement,water only., from his house on west river street just outside the village
limits. This 13ipe to run along river street and into the river under Obk street
just west of block 761, The clerk was instoucted to contact Attorney Glen Swenson
for a legal openion regarding an easment permit for I -Ir. Pierson.
Motion by Adams to accept the ' bid of Bud Schleif Construction Co. to include both
firebarn and village hall of lightweigIlt block with a concrete cealing for the
total sum of $21.,150,,000 Seconed by Baker and carried unmuously.
Motion by Kasper to accept the bid of Kjellbergs for plumbing of the firebarn and
village hall for the sum of q0875,00* Seconed by Swanson and carried,

The following appeared before the board of review:
Grace Pratt - Questioned the real estate tax on property description #19923A. and
complained of unequal personal property taxation.
Df. J. A. Kasper requested that the real estate valuation be checked on property
description #20049, '
Francis Kline questioned real estate tax valuation on blocks 19., 20,9 23., & 24 of -X
lower Monticello with the conplaint, that value now placed on these lots are not on an
equal basis with others throughout the village.

as ireing too low in corp'aiavon with others in the village. Francis Kline also cornplIdned.
that the valuation had not been changed on the business properties sence 11958 and
that theKre now too low.
