Special meeting of the village council to, review real estate and personal property
valuations.

C. N. Christiiason requested an explination of the value placed on his property
description #19623.
Motion by Kasper that we accept the asshssors valuation on both real and personal
property. Se'conded by Sandberg and carried.

Regular meeting di the village council held this date in the village hall.
Members present- Erlandson, Kasper., Madsen, Topel and Sandberg. Absent- None.
Minutes of the meetings of June 7 and 16 approved as read.
Bids were opened for a used street sweeper as follows:
Daniel Okoronkwo of Mpls. 1961-62, 58 inches wide $1,995.00
Olson Equipment of Mpls. Hodle 81 Elgin 1954 mod &l $2.,000.00
Hayden -Murphy Equipment Co. of Mpls. (1) 1958 Wayne sweeper- $5,450.00,
(2) 1959 Austin Western- $4,950,00, (3) Model 81 Elgin- $21500,00
MacQueen Equipment Co. of St. Paul. 1953 Modle 81 Elgin- $3000.00
Hall Equipment Co. of Mpls. (1) 1951.Wayne single gutter- $3,600.00
(2) 1958 Tennant Vacuum sweeper- $1,,800.00 V 3) 1955 Elgin Street Kingg- $3,,600.00
Madsen, Sandberg and Topel and one of the maintainence men will examine these sweepers
before a decision is made.
Bids for a used bucket sewer cleaning machine were as follows:
Flexable Pipe Tool Co. (1) 1966 modle deminstrator $2,U85,o50 ($300.00 additional if
a 9 H.P. loader is desired.) (2) Used flexable bucket Machines $1,794,30,
Motion 'by Madsen that we purchase the 1966 model deminstrator with the 9 H.P. loader
at a total cost of $2,785*50. Seconded by Kasper and carried.
Yr. Winters of Flexable Pipe tool Co. made a proposal to the council to sell 150 rods
of sewer cleaning cable along with $54.60 worth of accessories for the sum of $555.00
and along with this purchase the village could dace the use of a power machine for
one year at no charge., after which the power machine could be purchased for $200,,00 if
desired. Motion by Topel that we purchase this sewer cleaning equipment. Seconded by
Sandberg and carried.
V. Hitter requested that lots 1, 2 2, Sand -1 Of 4 block 114 be rezoned as heavy industural
and that he be given permission to remadel the building on these lots to be used as a
butchering plant. Tabeled until meeting with the planning committee to hear their
recommendations on rezoning this property as heavy industural.
Motion by Kasper to grant V. Hitter a building permit to build a 20 X 25 ft cement
block addition to the south side of his meat market to be used as storage. Seconded by
Topel and carried.
Notion by Sandberg to approve the following building permits: Tom Ewing to build a
26 X 56 ft house with attached garage on lot 1 and E. -I of lot 2 block 33 Lower
Monticello; 2
ipand to R. Michaelis and B. Fyle to build a 12 X 14 ft addition to the
south side of their Noble station on lots 13, 14, and 15 block D. Motion seconded
by Kasper and carried,
Bob Robertson of RCM Engineering met with the council and show their proposal for
extending sanitary sewer and water to the area of Seventh street., and he gave a
proposal of charges to preform Engineering services for the village.
Motion by Topel to hire D. Heffernan as village Attorney on anretainer of $20.00 per
month. Mr. Heffernan said that he would submit proposals of costs for any Ir
services before preformed. Motion seconded by Sandberg and carried.
Motion by Kasper to hire Co Johnston as full time bartender at a salary of $375o00
per month and to raise S. Peters salary to $375.00 per month. Seconded by Topel and
carried.
Motion by Madsen to pay the bills as read. Sedonded by Sandberg and carried.
