City Council Minutes 09-27-1967 SpecialSpecial meeting of the Village Council held. this for the hearing on the sanitary sewer extension of the budget for year 1968. Members present: 9 Kasper, Topel, and Schaffer. Powers, Mr Joe Osowski, and Dr Fish were present for the hearing 7' being conducted on the sanitary sewer extension on West Rive�Plrr"Srm the corner the corner of Chestnut Avenue to the westerly village limits. Motion by Councilman Topel to adopt a resolution ordering sanitary sewer extension and preparation of plans. Motion seconded by Councilman Sandberg and carried unanimously. 111r, Emil Viskocil, representing Centra Sota Dairy Association,, submitted a petition to have a portion of Locust Street vacated between Blocks 18 and 19. Motion by Council- man Schaffer to conduct a public hearing on the above mentioned vacating' and that the (7� public hearing be conducted of on October 17, 1967 at 80*00 p.m. Motion seconded by Councilman Sandberg and, carried unanimously. Council discussed the -for 1968 -.t length and tabled. it until next regular council meeting. Councilman Sandberg brouht up for Council discussion the possibilities of the Vill,-!;.ge purchasing the building that the Senior Gitizen Club want to rent for the their club building. This was tabled for further discussion. Motion by Councilman Kasper to submit an application to the Minnesota State Highway Department for permission to lay TArat Lmd sewer line under Route 25 during the reconstruction onstruction period where it is intersected by Seventh Street. Motion seconded by $cliaffer and carried unanimously., Motion by Councilman Topel to purchase Lots 11 29 3. and 4. Block 14 Upper Monticello from `Centra Sota Dairy Association for $5600.00 for Villai=-e use. Motion seconded by Councilman Schaffer and carried Councilmen Kasper, Topelq and Schaffer voting yes and Councilman Sandberg voting now On I'lotion age Clerk at 1:30 a.m.
