Special meeting of the Ville°e Council_ held this time and date at the
Tillage Mall. Iliembf-rs present: ,,2ayor idilliam Sandberg, Councilmen Ed
Schaffer, er, Franz Swanberc , J. rl. -'iller, Jr. i1Iembers absent: Councilman
James Maus.
Mayor Sandberg informed Co Ancil meripe_rs that. all the full time: 1-�unieipal
Liquor Store bartend®rs C. Johnston, Mr. B. i°oses, and Tir. G. Dolman)
had walked off or did not rppear at their jobs as they were not satisfied with
the wages proposal made by Council on April 28, 1969. Further, that Pir. Gordon
Stokes, T,�unicipal Liquor Store Planager, had resigned effective at 5:00 p.m.
this date.
Mayor S:ndberg stated that the xllunicipal Liquor Store was being, run by
temporary help until new full-time bartenders could be hired.
Council members st?ted that they wanted ads ran in the Monticello Times
and the Ty`_inneapolis Star & Tribune advertising for liquor store manager and
bartenders.

Village Hall. Members present: mayor Sandberg; Councilmen Ed Schaffer,
Franz Swa.nberg, J. W.' 11-I_er, Jr., and. James Mpus . Members absent: Tone .
T"otion to approve of hiring Verona. Gustafson, as of April 29, 1969;
Robert Kra.mber, as of April 29, 1969; and Jack Heacock as of May 1, 1969,as
temporary bartenders at $3.00 per hour. T-iotion seconded by Councilman Maus
and carried. Voting yes: T,iayor Sandberw►, Councilmen Schaffer, Swanberg,
T�Iiller , and Maus. Voting no: ,'None .
Motion by Councilman Schaffer to hire Yr. Jerry Delong as a temporary
.ssi.sta.nt manager of the 'Municipal Liquor Store. Motion not seconded.
Council members stated that T,r. L. Hawkins was now managing the Liquor store
until a new manager could be hired. Council further stated they -Trould
appreciate having Mr. Delong work in the liquor store as a t npirary bartender.
Motion by Councilman Schaffer to approve of paying the over -time and
part-time wages of the following liquor store employees: Fulltime employees
over -time wag_,es for 1-30 April 1969: 0.. hoses, $98.12; C. Johnston, $90.00;
and G. Holman, $77.50. Temporary ind part-time employee wages for 16-30 April
1969: J. Roth, $25.63; R. Brauch, $39,30; G. Barthel, $50.63; V. Gustafson
$49.50; R. Gleaton, $48.75, and R. Kramber $24.00. Also, to pay part-time
Village maintenance man K. Bartel, $220.00. Potion sec nd-d bar Councilman 'Maus
and Carried. Voting yes: T41ayor Sandberg; Councilmen _rer "w berg, TUller,
and T•Ia.us. Voting no: INone.
