The following property owners and concerned citizens were present
for the public hearing on the proposed Village improvement for resurfac-
ing the alleyway between Pine Street and Walnut Street in Block 35,
Upper Monticello: Mr. Leo Nelson, 1,1r. Bob Davis, tar. Don Rush, Mr. Doug
Garwood, Fr. Ken Peshia$ Yr. Bob Dowling, 'Mr. -William Jongewaard. YX.
Thore I!eyerj Village Consultant Engineer, explained the Village improve-
ment to the above people. Council rye -tubers further discussed with the
property owners about the cost of this improvement. The property owners
indicated this was a bentficial improvement for then and the VillaMe of
Monticello.

otion by Councilman Schaffer to adopt Resolutions Ordering Improve-
ment and Pre-oaration of Plans and Specifications; Approving Plans and
Specifications; and Accepting Bids. 1,1otion seconded by Councilman Maus
and carried. Voting yes: R' -payor Sandberg; Councilmen. Schaffer, Swanberg,
IdIller, and Maus. Voting no: None.
INIotion by Councilman Schaffer adopting resolution approving of
adoption of Codification of 1-4unicipal Code of M;onticello. Flotion
seconded by Councilman Swanberg and carried. Voting yes: IMayor Sandberg;
Councilmen Schaffer, Swanberg, 1,111ler, and Maus. Voting no: 'one.
Mayor Sandberg asked Council to approve of Mr. Senness' letter of
resignation from the Village Planning Commission dated June 9, 1969.
Further, he requested that ar. Larry Flake be appointed to fill the
vacancy on the Commission. Motion by Councilman Schaffer accepting 111.
Senness' letter of regignation from the Village Planning Commission.
Further, to approve of the appointment of 111r. Larry Flake to the Village
Planning Commission. IViotion second, -,d by Councilman 1,11aus and carried.
Voting yes: Mayor Sandberg; Councilmen .:)chaffer, Swanberg, Puller and
Maus. Voting no: None.
