Planning Commission Resolution 2023-24 (Corrective Amd. to Ord. No. 799)CITY OF MONTICELLO WRIGHT COUNTY, MINNESOTA PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. PC-2023-24 A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO SECTIONS 153.043 OF THE MONTICELLO ZONING ORDINANCE CORRECTING REGULATIONS FOR SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT STANDARDS WHEREAS, the City finds that regulations for attached garage structures in the R-1, Single -Family Residential District per Ordinance 799 for amendment to the Monticello Zoning Ordinance were in error; and WHEREAS, the City desires to correct the allowances and regulations for attached garage structures in the R-1, Single -Family Residential District; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on August 15t, 2023 on the application and members of the public were provided the opportunity to present information to the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered all of the comments and the staff report, which are incorporated by reference into the resolution; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Monticello makes the following Findings of Fact in relation to the recommendation of approval: 1. Correction to the ordinance is necessary to ensure reasonable regulations. 2. Establishing the proposed regulations is consistent with the City's goals for managing land use within the single-family residential district. NOW, THEREFORE, BE /T RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Monticello, Minnesota, that the Planning Commission hereby recommends that the Monticello City Council approves the proposed amendment to the zoning ordinance. ADOPTED this 111 day of August, 2023 by the Planning Commission of the City of Monticello, Minnesota.
