a. Summer Reading Program "Color Your World" statistics:

• Total of 377 participants
5. New Business —
a. Flower pots —can we get the city to plant/maintain? If so, can we take $ from our
allotted budget?
b. Staffing Updates: We hired Deb Luken, Library Assistant, and Deborah
Whitmore, Library Aide this fall. Both are great new additions to the staff. WE
ARE FULLY STAFFED! !
c. Planning for additional shelving/ new carpets
d. Collaboration between us and Senior Center with Valentine's program
e. Fall Book Sale recap —possibility of moving it to Community Center in future.
f. Winter Reading Program: "Books Like Us"
i. Bingo (in house)
ii. Mugs and hat giveaway at registration, plus free book
6. Next Library Board Meeting —December 14, 2021 @ 5:30 p.m.
In response to COVID-19 and pursuant to Minnesota Statute Chapter 12. Emergency
Management, Governor Walz declared a state of emergency. In accordance with the state of
emergency and Minnesota Statute Chapter 13D.021, the Monticello Library Board and GRRL
staff will participate in the meeting by telephone or other electronic means rather than being
personally present at the regular Monticello Public Library location. The meeting will be
conducted electronically via Zoom. Members of the public may provide public comment and/or
