Quarter: September -December Year: 2021 Statistics As of November 30, 2021, the Monticello Public Library circulation was at 133,010 YTD, up 31.5% over the same period in 2020. September circulation statistics totaled 12,020; October: 11,970; and November: 11,004. Programs Our branch was one of the first in the region to resume hosting in -person Legacy programs. The program, "Old MacDonald Had a Banjo," an interactive music program, was on September 21 with 14 people in attendance. Since then we've seen continued success with our Take & Make crafts, in person story times and our Crafts and Creations and ProCRAFTinator programs. We had an ugly holiday sweater party for the teens this past week which sounded like it was a lot of fun. The Friends of the Library, held the first book sale at the end of September after a hiatus of 18 months. It was a success, with (if I remember correctly), their second - highest total in their book sale history. The next one will be in late March/Early April Building/Maintenance Issues We are still waiting to hear from Xcel Energy to see if we can paint the remaining green doors located just to the left of our front entrance. Obviously, we are past painting season, but hopefully someone will be able to finish the burgundy paint job in the spring. Carpets were cleaned in October, and unfortunately, we had a pipe crack in the wall behind the custodian's closet, causing a severe leak, and then stained the newly - cleaned carpet. The pipe was repaired in November and the carpet was re -cleaned. However, there remains a bit of a stain. Staffing Update We hired an aide, Deborah Whitmore in November, and we welcomed back a familiar face as a new Library Assistant, Debra Luken. Debra brings with her a bunch of experience, and of course, we love having her back with us. • , the oven then Cha`- Awwk &RARY RIVER REGIONAL ".,
