RESOLUTION NO. 2026-05
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE WRIGHT COUNTY
PAVEMENT PRESERVATION PROJECT ON CSAH 39
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello recognizes that a safe and well -maintained transportation
network is vital to the economic health and safety of the community; and
WHEREAS, CSAH 39 locate within the corporate limits of the City, is a County Highway under
the jurisdiction of Wright County; and
WHEREAS, the Wright County Highway Department has identified a need for pavement
preservation to extend the service life of the roadway and improve the driving surface; and
WHEREAS, The City of Monticello desires to cooperate with Wright County to ensure the
successful completion of this project with minimal disruption to local residents and businesses; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this project aligns with the City's long-term infrastructure
goals and enhances the overall safety for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA as follows:
1) Support for Project: The City of Monticello hereby formally expresses its full support for the
2026 Pavement Preservation Project on CSAH 39 as proposed by Wright County.
2) Collaboration: City staff are authorized to coordinate with County officials regarding traffic
control, public notifications, and any necessary local permitting to facilitate a seamless
workflow.
3) Future Maintenance: The City acknowledges that this resolution does not alter existing
maintenance agreements or jurisdictional boundaries unless specifically outlined in a
separate agreement.
4) Effective Date: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
approval.
