DEMOLITION REQUIREMENTS
1. ALL DEMOLITION SHALL BE CARRIED OUT IN A
SAFE MANNER AND IN STRICT ACCORDANCE
WITH OSHA REGULATIONS
2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FIELD VERIFY THE
EXTENT OF DEMOLITION. THE WORK INCLUDES,
BUT IS NOT LIMITED T0, THE DEMOLITION AND
REMOVAL OF REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT,
REFRIGERATION LINES, AND ELECTRICAL ITEMS
INCLUDING CONDUITS AS SHOWN ON DRAWING
OR AS REQUIRED FOR THE INSTALLATION OF
NEW WORK FOR A COMPLETE JOB.
3. WHEN UTILITIES ARE REMOVED, CAP AND SEAL
A MINIMUM OF 8" BELOW FINISH FLOOR OR A
MINIMUM OF 6" ABOVE FINISHED CEILING.
SHOW ALL ABANDONED AND CAPPED UTILITIES
ON AS-BUILTS, DRAWINGS, AND RECORDED
DOCUMENTS.
4. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO
PROVIDE ADEQUATE SHORING, BRACING, AND
SUPPORT SYSTEMS TO KEEP THE EXISTING
STRUCTURE INTACT AND IN A SAFE CONDITION
DURING THE REMOVAL OF STRUCTURALITEMS
AND NEW CONSTRUCTION.
5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RETAIN A
REGISTERED PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER TO
DESIGN THE SHORING AND SPECIFY DEMOLITION
PROCEDURES.
6. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY FOR
MEANS AND METHODS OF DEMOLITION AND
NEW CONSTRUCTION. PRIOR TO THE
EXCAVATION OF FOUNDATIONS ADJACENT TO
THE EXISTING STRUCTURE, PROVIDE ADEQUATE
SUPPORT FOR THE SUB-BASE TO PREVENT
UNDERMINING.
7. DURING DEMOLITION AND RECONSTRUCTION,
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CQORDINATE WITH
THE WALMART CONSTRUCTION MANAGER ANY
REQUIRED SAFETY BARRIERS OR BARRICADES.

8. CONDUCT ALL DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF

FROM MOISTURE, DUST DEBRIS AND MOLD.
INSTALL TEMPORARY DUST PARTITIONS,
SECURITY ENCLOSURES, AND/OR DUST
DRAPES AS REQUIRED BY THE SCOPE AND
PHASING OF THE WORK AND/OR AS
DIRECTED BY THE WALMART CONSTRUCTION
MANAGER TO KEEP DUST AND MOISTURE
FROM THE OPERATING AREAS OF THE
BUILDING.
5. ANY DAMAGE TO WALMART PROPERTY WHICH
OCCURS DURING THE PROCESS OF
CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE
REPAIRED/REPLACED AT NO ADDITIONAL
COST TO WALMART; THIS INCLUDES ALL
MERCHANDISE. CONTRACTOR SHALL PAY
WALMART THE COST OF ALL DAMAGED
MERCHANDISE.
6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN THE
INTEGRITY OF THE EXISTING BUILDING
SECURITY AT ALL TIMES. THIS INCLUDES
KEEPING THE BUILDING SECURE OF PERSONS,
ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS OR HAZARDS.
7. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE
FOR RECEIVING, HANDLING, AND STORAGE OF
OWNER FURNISHED EQUIPMENT. CONTRACTOR
SHALL COORDINATE DELIVERY DATE CHANGES
WITH WALMART REFRIGERATION
ADMINISTRATOR. CONTRACTOR SHALL
PROVIDE EITHER ON-SITE STORAGE
CONTAINERS AND/OR OFF-SITE STORAGE
FOR OWNER FURNISHED EQUIPMENT AND ANY
OTHER CONSTRUCTION ITEMS. CONTRACTOR
SHA L COORDINATE LOCATION OF ANY
ON-SITE STORAGE CONTAINERS WITH STORE
MANAGEMENT PRIOR TO PLACEMENT.
CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SECURITY
AND CONDITION OF OWNER FURNISHED
EQUIPMENT KEPT IN STORAGE AND SHALL
PROVIDE PERSONNEL TO RECEIVE AND MOVE
EQUIPMENT.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE
TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF ALL EXISTING
SECURITY SYSTEMS. THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL OBTAIN PERMISSION FROM THE
WALMART STORE MANAGER PRIOR TO THE
MODIFICATION TO ANY EXISTING SECURITY
SYSTEMS FOR THE OPENING (DEMOLITION) OF
ANY EXTERIOR WALLS.
9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL KEEP THIS AREA
CLEAN AND FREE OF DEBRIS AND IS TO
REMOVE ALL TRASH AND DEBRIS FROM THE
CONSTRUCTION AREA DAILY. NO FLAMMABLE
MATERIALS OR LIQUIDS MAY BE STORED IN
THE EXISTING BUILDING.
10. REMOVE ANY EXISTING ITEMS, SERVICES,
FINISHES/OR SURFACES REQUIRED FOR
INSTALLATION OF NEW CONSTRUCTION.
11. PROVIDE FURRING FOR CONDUITS AND
PIPING, SHOWN OR NOT, AND FINISH OUT
FURRING TO MATCH ADJACENT EXISTING
FINISHES.
12. REPAIR, REROUTE, AND EXTEND ALL
SERVICES, PIPING CONDUIT, OR EXISTING
ITEMS AND EQUIPMENT AS REQUIRED DURING
THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS FOR THE
COMPLETE INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF
NEW EQUIPMENT. THIS INCLUDES ALL ITEMS
SHOWN OR NOT SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS.
13. RESET EXISTING EQUIPMENT OR RELATED
ITEMS AS REQUIRED FOR PROPER OPERATION
WHERE EXISTING FINISHES ARE TO REMAIN,
CLEAN, REPAIR, PATCH, AND/OR REPAINT AS
NECESSARY TO BLEND WITH ADJACENT
SURFACES.
14. CONSULT WALMART CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
FOR COMPLETE APPLICABLE SCOPE OF WORK.
THE CONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN THE
REQUIRED NUMBER OF EXITS WITHIN THE
STORE. MAINTAIN EXIT SIGNS AND
EMERGENCY LIGHTING AT ALL TIMES AS
REQUIRED BY THE LOCAL BUI DING OFFICIAL.
15. WALMART SHALL OCCUPY THE BUILDING
DURING CONSTRUCTION. THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL COORDINATE WITH THE WALMART AND
THE THE WALMART CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
ALL CONSTRUCTION PROCEDURES WHICH WILL
INTERFERE WITH THE NORMAL DAILY
OPERATIONS FOR THE STORE.
16. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN PERMISSION
FROM WALMART FOR ALL INTERRUPTIONS OF
UTILITY SERVICES TO THE EXISTING BUILDING
PRIOR TO THE INTERRUPTION. ACCIDENTAL
INTERRUPTIONS SHALL BE REMEDIED
IMMEDIATELY WITH APPROPRIATE FORCES.
17. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE WITH
THE ENGINEER OF RECORD ON DEVIATIONS IN
INSTALLATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF
FIXTURES, PIPING AND OTHER ITEMS
SPECIFIED IN THE CONSTRUCTION
DOCUMENTS.
EXISTING CONDITIONS WERE TAKEN FROM ORIGINAL EACH SUBCONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HAVING
DRAWINGS OR SURVEY DOCUMENTS AND MAY NOT A THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF ALL DRAWINGS AND
REFLECT EXACT "AS-BUILT" CONDITIONS. SPECIFICATIONS IN THEIR RELATED FIELD. THE
