Tower Work
1. At the GSM / UMTS antenna level: (120')

c. Remove and discard (12) Existing Antennas: Four per sector
d. Install (6) Quad port antennas for UMTS: Two per sector
e. Perform tape -drop and e-mail within 24hrs.
f. Assure RF Plumbing matches issued RFDS

i. Install, support and Terminate to each New UMTS antenna, Bechtel
provided RET cabling and components (provide documentation)
j. Field fabricate, Install, support and color -code (36) ''/z" Eupen jumpers
Shelter Work
2. In Shelter
a. Take pre and post photos of all components
b. Perform system pre -sweeps for the 6 existing TDMA lines you are to
reuse and provide a copy with turnover package.
c. Field fabricate, Install, support and color -code (36) RF jumpers, 12 From
Existing Hard -Line to Diplexers and 24 from new Diplexers to Cabinet
locations specified in the RFDS, with tails that will reach to 24" above the
floor for the UMTS location.. Eupen Din Male on each end of each
jumper.
d. Provide and install (6) 1/0 13-Black & 3-Red} terminated in the Power
Plant on 2 Pole Pads (Bechtel provided) and routed to just above UMTS
cabinet location. Cables to water -fall over edge, DO NOT got thru the
cable tray. Tape the ends and leave a 6 ft coil hanging. Install 3 Breakers
provided by Bechtel.
e. Perform final system sweeps and provide a copy with turnover package.
Completely Input all RET information for the site, set RET settings per the
issued RFDS and download the screen shots to be included in the closeout
package.
DC Power Wire Specification:
Wiring used for +24VDC and/or -48VDC power will be RHH (or RHW; or dual rated RHH/RHW
RHW-2] if required), limited smoke (LS per UL1685), stranded copper, non -halogenated, UL
listed, CSA certified. Class I strand is recommended (extra -flexible) but Class B strand is
acceptable. It is highly recommended that the wire have an additional flame-retardant cotton -
braided cover for added cut -through resistance and cable tray rating (interpret: cable rack). This
type wiring is readily available through most suppliers.
RHH wire [standard Cingular Wireless specification for DC wiring] is rated for dry and damp
locations. RHW & RHW-2 wire is rated for dry and wet locations.)
Wire size and installation must comply with NEC and AT&T installation & grounding policies.
Contractor Provided Materials (where applicable): snap -ins, coax saddles, angle
adapters, connectors, weather proofing, jumper supports, longer antenna pipes, Back -to -
Back Pipe mounts, Ice bridge supports (t-brackets, z-brackets, etc) assorted hardware,
weather -tight connectors, etc.
Bechtel Provided Materials (where applicable): grounding kits, coax, connectors,
jumper material, antennas, MHA's, diplexers, RET materials, Bias-T's, PDU, Breakers,
2-Pole Pads
Before work begins, crew must call Cingular/at&t switch to bring site down (if
required you will be given a trouble ticket # required by the NOC to bring down any
sector). If scope can be completed, while only bringing down a sector at a time, and
without causing additional delays, please do so. Otherwise the entire site will need to be
brought down. Crew will be responsible for notifying Switch and Bechtel of expected
down time of site/sector and updating the Switch and Bechtel if there are any changes.
