RESOLUTION NO. 2026 — 48
ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE MONTICELLO DITCH 33 PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the following improvements for the Monticello
Ditch 33 Project; which includes:
• Constructing a 48" stormwater outfall to the Mississippi River
• Roadway patching including pavement markings.
• Turf restoration
WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated, and the following eleven bids were found to
comply with the advertisement for bids. Bids were as follows:

WHEREAS, a bid from Kuechle Underground Inc. in the amount of $1,945,722.60 for the total bid for
construction of said improvements for the Monticello Ditch 33 Project, in accordance with the approved
plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and shall be hereby
accepted.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO:
1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for an on behalf of the
City of Monticello.
2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders
the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the
next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed.
