RESOLUTION NO. 2026-24
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE BERTRAM CHAIN OF
LAKES REGIONAL ATHLETIC PARK PHASE III PICKEBALL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the project, the following
improvements for the Bertram Chain of Lakes Regional Athletic Park Project; and WHEREAS, the
project includes the following improvements:
• 8 dedicated Pickleball Courts. 30'x64' court size overall. Courts oriented North -South.
• Bituminous surface with acrylic color coating and white lines — colored to match
Monticello logo colors.
• Durable outdoor net system
• Black color coated perimeter (10' ht.) and divider fencing (4' ht.)
• Windscreens on perimeter fencing, safety cap on divider fences
• Trail connections to parking and rest of park
• Accessible parking area
• Tree plantings
• Four Shelter Canopy footings
• Restoration
• Signage
WHEREAS, the following items were included as bid alternates for the project:
• Alternate 1 Parking lot Construction/with stormwater structures and features
WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and tabulated, and the following fourteen bids were
found to comply with the advertisement for bids:

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MONTICELLO:
1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of
the City of Monticello.
2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful
bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed.
ADOPTED this 13t" day of April, 2026 by the City Council of the City of Monticello,
Minnesota.
