RESOLUTION NO. 2011-09
ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
FOR 2011 STREET RECONSTRUCTION IMPROVEMENTS,
CITY PROJECT NO. 11COO 1
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the Council adopted December 13, 2010, a Feasibility
Report has been prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed improvements to Area
413 including East River Street and its adjoining side streets between Cedar Street and a point
approximately 1,100 feet east of Washington Street, as well as West River Street between CSAH
75 and the entrance to the Xcel ball fields, including the reconstruction of streets, curb and
gutter, and public utilities as needed, the installation of sidewalk, and other appurtenant work;
and,
WHEREAS, the reports were received by the City Council on February 14, 2011; and,
WHEREAS, the reports provide information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost-effective and feasible;
NO W THEREFORE, BE IT HEREB Y RESOL VED B Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the proposed improvements for said streets in accordance with
the Feasibility Reports and the assessment of abutting properties for all or a portion of the
cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated
total cost of the improvements of $2,413,200.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvements on the 28th day of
February, 2011 in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7 p.m. and the Clerk shall give
mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
