RESOLUTION NO. 2011-16
ORDERING ABATEMENT OF HAZARDOUS PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Chief Building Official for the City of Monticello has inspected certain property
in the City of Monticello, Minnesota, legally described as Lot 1, Block 1, Silver Fox, Wright
County, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Building Official has prepared an Inspection Report dated February 4,
2011; and
WHEREAS, the Monticello City Council has reviewed the Inspection Report and has
determined that the Regency sign on the described property constitutes a hazardous property
within the meaning of Minn. Stat. § 463.15, subd. 3.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Monticello,
Minnesota:
1. Pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 463.16, et seq., the City hereby adopts and approves the
Demolition Order for Removal of Hazardous Property, attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
2. The City of Monticello finds that the condition of the property legally described as Lot 1,
Block I. Silver Fox, Wright County. Minnesota, is a health and safety hazard and
contains a hazardous property within the meaning of Minn. Stat. § 463.15, subd. 3.
3. The City's legal counsel, Campbell Knutson, P.A., 317 Eagandale Office Center, 1380
Corporate Center Curve, Eagan, Minnesota 55121, is directed to serve the Order for
Repair or Removal of a Hazardous Property and to proceed with enforcement in
accordance with Minn. Stat. § 463.15, et seq.
ADOPTED BY the Monticello City Council this 28th day of February, 2011.
