A SUMMARY ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 2012 FEE SCHEDULE
TITLE 20 OF THE MONTICELLO CITY ORDINANCE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on December 12, 2011, Ordinance No. 540 was
adopted by the City Council of the City of Monticello, Minnesota. Due to the lengthy nature of
Ordinance No. 540, the following Summary Ordinance No. 540A has been prepared for
publication as authorized by state law.
The ordinance adopted by the Council establishes the 2012 Fee Schedule for the City of
Monticello, also known as Title 20 of the Monticello City Ordinance. The general purpose of the
ordinance is to adopt fees for services provided by the City of Monticello with changes in the
following sections:

1. All contractors must obtain a permit from the Water Superintendent. The permit fee is $500.
This permit will define the hydrant to be used and provides a tally sheet for water usage.
2. The following rates shall apply:
A. $25.50 minimum billing for up to 500 cu. ft. or 3,750 gallons.
B. After the 3,750 gallons, the rate shall be $2.50 per 100 cu. ft.
or $3.30 per 1,000 gallons.
3. The following deposits shall be taken for use of City equipment (no exceptions):
