RESOLUTION NO. 2007-6
RESOLUTION RECEING REPORT AND CALLING REARING ON IMPROVEMENT
CHELSEA ROAD RECONSTRUCTION FROM CSAH 18 TO FALLON AVENUE
CITY PROJECT NO. 2006-31C
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the Council adopted September 25, 2006, a report has been
prepared by WSB & Associates, Inc. with reference to the improvement of Chelsea Road from CSAH.
to Fallon Avenue by the reconstruction of approximately 3,300 feet of Chelsea Road to a 44400t
wide urban section with curb and gutter, storm sewer collection system and later system piping;
reconstruction and realignment of the Chelsea Road/Fallon Avenue intersection; constriction of 8-
foot wide pathway extending along the north side of Chelsea Road to connect with the existing
pathway at CSAH 28, street lighting, adjustments to existing sanitary sewer and water facilities
including possible lateral extensions; and other necessary appurtenant work and this report was
received by the Monticello City Council on January 22, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary,
cost - effective and feasible,
NOS' THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBYRESOLYED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with the report and
the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chap0ter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of
$3,732,400.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 1201 day of February,
2007 in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7 p.m. and the Clerk shall give mailed and
published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
