City Council Resolution 2007-87CITY OF MONTICELLO WRIGHT COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2007-87 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FALLON AVENUE PATHWAY IMPROVEMENTS PROTECT NO. 2007-12C WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of an 8 -foot wide bituminous pathway on the west side of Fallon Avenue between Farmstead Avenue and School Boulevard and alternate bid for the construction of an 8 -foot wide bituminous pathway connecting the west end of the existing parking lot in Pioneer Park to the existing stubbed path extended eased from Farmstead Avenue, City Project No. 2007 -12C, by pathway construction, and other necessary appurtenant work, bids were received, opened, tabulated and the following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids: CONTRACTOR BASE BID BASE BID & ALT #1 Rum River Contractin Co. $67,490.25 $83,874.40 Knife River R - $75,521.75 $93,056.24 Wruck Excavating, Inc. $81,660.00 $97,676.25 Motzko Company, LLC $81,766.00 $101,093.00 Kotila Excawdng $83,294.10 $99,480.45 Hardrives, Inc. $89,986.00 $110,974.00 New Look Contracting, Inc. $91,782.50 $113,618.75 Sunram Construction, Inc. $109,509.00 $131,662.00 Barber Construction Co. Inc. $113,123.00 $136,533.00 WHEREAS, the bid of Rum River Contracting Co. of Princeton, MN in the amount of $83,874.40 (Base bid plus Alternate #l) for the construction of said improvements in accordance with the plans and specifications and advertisement for bids is the lowest responsible bidder and shall be and hereby is accepted, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBYRESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLOa 1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Monticello. 2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed.
