RESOLUTION NO. 2006-122A
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
BIOSOLIDS DRYER – CITE' PROJECT NO. 2005-37C
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the City Council on March 13, 2006, Bolton Menk,
the consulting engineer retained for the project, has prepared plans and specifications for
improvements to the wastewater treatment system by preparation of design work for a biosolids
drying system, building, ancillary equipment and other necessary appurtenant work and has presented
such plans and specifications to the Council for approval;
NOW THEREFOR, BE IT HERERYR.ESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is on file at City Hall and made a part hereof,
are hereby approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the
Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under
such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three days,
shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until
10 a.m. on February 28,2007 at which time they will be publicly opened, tabulated and the
bids and the responsibility of the bidders will be considered by the City Council at 7 p.m. on
March 12,2007 in the Council Chambers of City Hall. Any bidder whose responsibility is
questioned during the consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the
Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with
the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check
payable to the City of Monticello for 5% of the amount of such bid.
