RESOLUTION NO. 2004-31
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
2004 CORE STREET RECONSTRUCTION
PROJECT NO. 2004-06C
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the City Council on March 22, 2004, the City Engineer
has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of the following streets: Fairway Drive,
Club View Drive, Bunker Circle, Center Circle, Sandtrap Circle, Eagle Circle, Kampa Circle, Meadow
Oak Avenue, Meadow Oak Lane, White Oak Circle, Acorn Circle, Maplewood Circle, Red Oak Lane,
Red Oak Circle, Meadow Lane, Oakview Lane, Meadow Oak Drive, Sandberg Road from Chelsea
Road to Oakwood Drive and School Boulevard from TH 25 to Fenning Avenue by street reclamation
and reconstruction, curb and gutter repair and replacement where needed, utility repairs and
replacement where needed, construction of drain tile where needed and other necessary appurtenant
work including trunk utility improvements,
NO W THEREFORE, BE IT HEREB Y RESOL VED B Y THE CITY CO UNCIL OF
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA
Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof are
hereby approved.
2. The City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and the
Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under
such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three days,
shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City
Administrator until 10:00 a.m. on June 8, 2004 at which time they will be publicly opened in
the Council Chambers of City Hall by the City Engineer and City Administrator, will then be
tabulated and will be considered by the Council at 7:00 p.m. on June 14, 2004. Any bidder
whose responsibility is questioned during the consideration of the bid will be given an
opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit,
cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Administrator for five percent
(5%) of the amount of such bid.
