RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS
I-94 WATER MAIN CROSSING PROJECT NO. 2004 -IOC
MEADOW PARK STORM SEWER OUTLET PROJECT NO. 2004-9C
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of the City's storm sewer infrastructure by
the construction of an 18" outlet pipe from the Meadow Oaks Park Pond and the improvement of the trunk water
system by the construction of a water main extension from Meadow Oaks under I-94 to serve the Sunset Ponds
development and all other necessary appurtenant work, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law,
and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

WHEREAS, it appears that Volk. Sewer and Water, Inc. of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota is the lowest responsible
bidder,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREB Y RESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELL 0,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Volk
Sewer and Water, Inc. of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota for the improvement of the City's storm sewer
infrastructure by the construction of an 18" outlet pipe from the Meadow Oaks Park Pond and the
improvement of the trunk water system by the construction of a water main extension from Meadow Oaks
under I-94 to serve the Sunset Ponds development and all other necessary appurtenant work, according to
the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file at the city offices.
2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
Adopted by the City Council this 27th day of September, 2004.
