RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS
KLEIN FARMS STORM SEWER OUTLET PROJECT
PROJECT NO. 2004-18C
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of the City's storm sewer infrastructure in
the Klein Farms Watershed by the construction of a storm sewer outlet from the outlet pipe east of Cedar Street
running southeasterly parallel to the existing power line until its termination in a manhole within the Edmonson
Avenue right-of-way needed and all other necessary appurtenant work, bids were received, opened and tabulated
according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

WHEREAS, it appears that Northwest Asphalt, Inc. of Shakopee, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder,

MINNESOTA:
The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with
Northwest Asphalt, Inc. of Shakopee, Minnesota for the improvement of the City's storm sewer
infrastructure in the Klein Farms Watershed by the construction of a storm sewer outlet from the outlet
pipe east of Cedar Street running southeasterly parallel to the existing power line until its termination in a
manhole within the Edmonson Avenue right-of-way and all other necessary appurtenant work, and all
other necessary appurtenant work, according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City
Council and on file at the city offices.
2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to al l bidders the
deposits made with their bids except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
Adopted by the City Council this 23rd day of August, 2004.
