RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS
PROJECT NO. 2002-06C
CEDAR STREET
WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted on the 24th day of February, 2003 fixed a date for a
council hearing on the proposed improvement of Cedar Street from Chelsea Road to a point approximately
1,100 feet south of School Boulevard or to the north edge of Kjellberg's East mobile home park and the
improvement of Dundas Road from Cedar Street westerly to County Road 117 by the construction of street
improvements, utilities, storm drainage improvements and other appurtenant work, and
WHEREAS, ten days mailed notice and two weeks published notice of the hearing was given and the
hearing was held thereon on the 10th day of March, 2003 and continued to the 24th day of March, 2003, at
which all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED B Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MONTICELL O, MINNESOTA:
1. Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective and feasible as detailed in the feasibility report.
2. Such improvement is hereby ordered with the scope of the project being revised to cover only the
improvements for Cedar Street from Dundas Road to Kjellberg's Park at this time.
3. WSB & Associates is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. The engineer shall
prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement.
4. The City Council declares its official intent to reimburse itself for the costs of the improvement from
the proceeds of a tax exempt bond in an amount not to exceed $1,505,000.
Adopted by the Monticello City Council this 24th day of March, 2003.
