RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS
71h STREET EAST IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT NO. 2001-07

CEDAR STREET IMPROVEMENTS

WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of Cedar Street between Chelsea
Road and Oakwood Drive by the redesign and installation of street improvements, sidewalk, pathway,
storm sewer and other necessary appurtenant work and the improvement of 7th Street East between
Washington Street and Cedar Street by street reconstruction, installation of curb and gutter, sidewalk
improvements and other necessary appurtenant work, bids were received, opened and tabulated according
to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

WHEREAS, it appears that Bauerly Brothers of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder,
NO W THEREFORE, BE IT HEREB Y RESOL VED B Y THE CITY CO UNCIL OF MONTICELL O,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached
contract with Bauerly Brothers. of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota for the improvement of Cedar Street
between Chelsea Road and Oakwood Drive by the redesign and installation of street
improvements, sidewalk, pathway, storm sewer and other necessary appurtenant work and the
improvement of Cedar Street between Chelsea Road and Oakwood Drive by the redesign and
installation of street improvements, sidewalk, pathway, storm sewer and other necessary
appurtenant work according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council
and on file at the city offices.
2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
Adopted by the City Council this 13th day of August, 2001.
