RESOLUTION NO. 2001-43A
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PETITION, ORDERING FEASIBILITY REPORT,
ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT, ORDERING IMPROVEMENT,
PREPARING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND ADVERTISING FOR BIDS
PROJECT NO. 2001-9C
MIELKE DEVELOPMENT - INTERIOR UTILITIES
WHEREAS, a petition requesting the improvement of interior utilities for the proposed Mielke
Development located on Cedar Street, was filed with the Council on June 3, 2001 and was found to be
signed by the required percentage of owners of property affected thereby. This declaration is made in
conformity to Minnesota Statutes § 429.035, and
WHEREAS, the petition was referred to WSB and Associates, Inc. and a reported was prepared
advising the council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost-
effective and feasible and whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with another
improvement and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended, and
WHEREAS, this feasibility report was received by the Council on June 25, 2001 and the cost of the
improvement was estimated at $90,000,
WHEREAS, the property owner waived his rights to a public hearing, and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the making of such
improvement and has presented said plans and specifications to the Council,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Council accepts the petition and the feasibility report of the City Engineer for the
improvements.
2. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the council resolution adopted June 25,
2001.
3. WSB & Associates, Inc. has prepared plans and specifications for the making of such
improvement, a copy of said plans and specifications is attached hereto and are hereby
approved
4. The City Council declares its official intent to reimburse itself for the cost of the improvement
from the proceeds of the tax exempt bond.
5. Upon submittal of a signed agreement accepting the estimated assessment amount, the City
shall proceed with advertising for bids for the proposed improvement.
