RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS
CHELSEA ROAD WEST & BRENTWOOD CIRCLE
PROJECT NO. 98-25C
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of Chelsea Road West from
Sandberg Road to 90" Street by the construction of bituminous streets with concrete curb and gutter,
sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer and appurtenant improvements including the construction of pond
outlets to drain the two ponds located adjacent to Marvin Road and trunk improvements for phase I of the
Groveland Subdivision, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids
were received complying with the advertisement:

WHEREAS, it appears that Barbarossa and Sons, Inc. of Osseo, Minnesota is the lowest responsible
bidder,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA:
The mayor and city administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached
contract with Barbarossa and Sons, Inc. of Osseo, Minnesota for the improvement of County
Chelsea Road West from Sandberg Road to 90' Street by the construction of bituminous streets
with concrete curb and gutter, sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer and other appurtenant
improvements including the construction of pond outlets to drain the two ponds located adjacent to
Marvin Road and trunk improvements for Phase I of the Groveland Subdivision according to the
plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file at the city offices.
2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
