AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 10, CHAPTER 3, SECTION 3-4 AND CHAPTER
8, SECTION 8-5, OF THE MONTICELLO ZONING ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF DENSITY STANDARDS AND GREEN SPACE
REQUIREMENTS FOR TOWNHOUSE AND MULTIPLE FAMILY DEVELOPMENT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA HEREBY
ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
Chapter 3, Section 3-4[B] is amended to read as follows:
[B] LOT AREA PER UNIT AND RESIDENTIAL DENSITY:
Unless otherwise specified within the individual zoning districts the followin tg able
represents the maximum density of any residential development:
Unit Tvpe Lot Area Per Unit
Single Family 12,000 square feet
Two Family 6,000 square feet
Townhouse 5,000 square feet
Mobile Home Park 4,000 square feet
Multiple Family 10,000 square feet for first unit, plus
2,000 square feet for each additional one bedroom unit, plus
3,000 square feet for each additional two bedroom unit.
Elderly Housing 1,000 square feet
(Note: the lot area per unit requirement for townhouses, condominiums, and planned unit
developments shall be calculated on the basis of the total area in the project and as controlled by
an individual and joint ownership.)
Section 2.
Chapter 3, Section 3-4 [D] is hereby amended to read as follows:
