City Council Resolution 1995-52RESOLUTION 95-52 RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE PRELEMNARY 1996 BUDGET AND SETTING A PRELE%HNARY TAX LEVY WHEREAS, the City Administrator has prepared and submitted to the City Council a budget setting forth therein his estimated needs of the City of Monticello for all operations and the debt service for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1996, and; WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the same and has made such changes therein as appear to be in the best interest of the City of Monticello; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO that the budget so submitted by the City Administrator, together with the changes made therein by the City Council, be and same hereby is adopted as a preliminary budget for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1996, and; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Monticello that there be and hereby is levied for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1996, the following preliminary sums for the respective purposes indicated therein upon the taxable property of the City of Monticello, to wit: NET CERTIFIED General $2,203,730 $197,809 $2,005,921 Library 30,745 -0- 30,745 OAA 1,300 117 1,183 HRA 19,090 1,726 17,364 Tree 13,135 1,170 11,965 Transportation 17,000 1,521 15,479 DEBT RETIREMENT Debt Service Fund $ 651,187 582447 592,740 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS Capital Improvement Revolving 353,793 31,740 322,053 TOTAL TAX LEVY $3,289,980 $ 292,530 $2,997,450 The above resolution was introduced by Councilmember Clint Herbst, was duly seconded by Councilmember Brian Stumpf , with the following voting in favor thereof.
