THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN THAT TITLE 10, CHAPTER 3-9 [E] 2. (b) OF THE MONTICELLO
ZONING ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE NUMBER OF SIGNS ON
COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY BE AMENDED TO READ
AS FOLLOWS:
(b) For buildings in which there is one (1) or two (2) business uses within
the B-2, B-3, B-4, I-1, and I-2 districts, and for buildings used for
commercial retail activities located within a PZM district and located
on property adjacent to B-2, B-3, B-4, I-1, or I-2 districts, there shall
be allowed one (1) wall sign identifying the business use(s) on the
property per each legal frontage of the lot. In addition, each separate
legal parcel shall be allowed one (1) freestanding sign. In no case
shall the aggregate square footage of the sign area of all signs on the
property exceed one hundred (100) square feet.
This amendment shall be effective fallowing its passage and publication.
