MINUTES
MONTICELLO LIBRARY BOARD
Friday, June 1, 1984 - 7:00 A.M.
Members Present: Warren Smith, Pat Schwarz, Donald Maus, Marge
Bauer, Marguerite pringle.
Members Absent: Joel Erickson.
1. Minutes of meeting on January 25, 1984, approved.
2. Trees along western edge of property are planted on new bank's
land. The bank knows this and is not concerned about it.
3. Power pole - Marge expressed concern over unsightly power pole
on property. We will ask Tom Eidem to check to see if this
can't be underground.
4. Locks - "Super Glue" was used on the Library front door locks
on April 26, 1984. A locksmith was called to open the locks.
5. Tornado POlicy -When tornadoes threatened Monticello in April,
everyone followed library pOlicy. There were no problems.

6. Community Room - Wright County has requested a discounted fee
for use of room for five days. Request denied. A motion was
made that we have a 24-hour cancellation pOlicy: Either a group
gives notice of cancellation or they will have to pay. This
motion was passed.
7. Book Borrowing Program - There will be another borrowing program
this summer. The City will deliver books to Library from Pinewood
June 1 and they will be returned by August 21 or 22.

dusting and other housekeeping type jobs.

9. Budget - Warren prepared and submitted a preliminary budget
for 1985. The Board will study the budget and meet again to
finalize it.
