Resolution Calling a Special Election
__ _.ESOLVED by the City Council of Monticello, MN, as follows:
1. It is hereby determined to issue Bonds for the purpose of providing
money for the acquisition, construction and betterment of the City's
Water Storage and distribution system;
2. The amount proposed to be borrowed shall not exceed $1,100,000.00
3. The proposed to issue such Bonds shall be submitted to the voters of
the City of Monticello at a Special Election to be held concurrently
with the Primary Elections which shall be held September 13, 1988, at
the issued polling place for the City, to wit:
Monticello City Hall
250 East Broadway
Monticello, MN
The polls shall be open at 7:00 a.m. and shall close at 8:00 p.m.
4. The City Administrator shall give two weeks published notice and ten
days posted notice prior to the election.
5. The judges appointed to serve at the Primary Election shall also
serve as the judges for the Special Election.
6. The City Administrator shall cause ballots to be prepared in
substantially the following form:

September 13, 1988
Instructions to Voters: Voters desiring to vote in
favor of the following question shall put an (X) in the
word "Yes." Voters desiring to vote against the question
shall put an (X) in the square before the word "No."
Shall the City of Monticello
issue its general obligation
bonds in an amount not exceeding YES
$1100,000.00 for the purpose of
providing money for the acquisition

The City Council shall meet at the City Hall on the 14th day of
September, 1988 at 5:00 p.m. to canvass the returns and declare the
election results.
