City Council Resolution 1984-50RESOLUTION 1984 #50 RESOLUTION REQUESTING TRAFFIC SIGNAL AND AGREEING TO SHARE COST WHEREAS, the MN/DOT and the City of Monticello have agreed to the reconstruction of T.H. 25 from Marvin Road to the Mississippi River in 1980, and WHEREAS, said reconstruction proposal established a cost sharing formula between the City and MN/DOT, and WHEREAS, said reconstruction provides for the erection of traffic control light signals at the intersection of County Road 117 and T.H. 25, and WHEREAS, traffic volume and congestion warrant the installation of such signals as soon as possible, and WHEREAS, MN/DOT has developed an interim design at an estimated cost of $30,000-$40,000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO does hereby request MN/DOT to erect and install a traffic control signal as designed at the intersection of T.H. 25 and County Road 117. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT MN/DOT assume full cost for the interim construction and that the City of Monticello shall grant financial consideration in an amount equal to 50~ of the actual cost, but not to exceed $20,000.00, at the time final construction occurs on T.H. 25.
