RESOLUTION
CONFIRMING AGREEMENT WITH MINNESOTA EXCHANGERS, INC.
FOR REMOVAL OF A CERTAIN HAZARDOUS BUILDING(S)
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA, as follows:
1. The City Council confirms the consents to the attached
agreement with Minnesota Exchangers, Inc. for the removal by the City
of Monticello of the hazardous building(s) at Monticello, Minnesota,
otherwise described in Attachment A.
2. The City of Monticello is hereby authorized and directed
to raze and remove such building(s).
Adopted by the City Council of Monticello, Minnesota this
9th day of February 1981, on a motion by Ken Maus, seconded by
Fran Fair:
Voting in favor: Arve Grimsmo, Dan Blonigen, Fran Fair,
Ken Maus, Phil White.

AUTHORIZATION TO RAZE HAZARDOUS BUILDINGS
I, the undersigned, LaRue A. Reher, aka/Mike L.A. Reher, Chief Executive
Officer of Minnesota Exchangers, Inc., located at 2770 Chisolm Avenue North,
St. Paul, Minnesota 55109, the company which is the fee owner of the premises
described in Attachment A to this Authorization, according to the map or plat
thereof on file or of record in the office of the County Recorder, of the
County of Wright, State of Minnesota; that there now exists on the premises
certain building(s), which building(s) I agree and admit are hazardous building(s)
as defined by Minnesota Statutes, Section 463.15 to 463.261 in that it consti-
tutes a fire hazard and a hazard to public safety and health because of age,
physical damage, inadequate maintenance and dilapidation, and which building(s)
I agree and admit are beyond reasonable repair and should be razed and removed.
I further state that no other person, firm or corporation has any right
in, claim to, or lien against these premises.
I do hereby authorize the City of Monticello, Minnesota, pursuant to
Minnesota Statutes, Section 463.151, to raze such building(s).
I further state that there are no items of personal property or fixtures
on such premises in the building(s) which I determine to be of any value and
I hereby authorize the City of Monticello to dispose of any personal property
or fixtures thereon or within the building(s).
The City of Monticello shall have sole determination as to how the work
is to be done and as to whether it is done by bid or contract or otherwise, and
I release, relinquish, and waive any right to any accounting of the cost or
expenses involved in the razing and removal.
I do further release and discharge the City of Monticello from any action
or cause of action, claims and demands for damages by ourselves or by our
heirs or assigns as the result of the razing and removal of such building(s).
It is understood that the City of Monticello shall be under no obligation
because of this authorization to remove or raze the building(s) above described
and that the removal and razing, under the terms of this authorization, is
subject to the approval of the City Council of the City of Monticello.
