RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING FOR
HEARING ON 1981-1, 81-2 & 81-3 IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council of Monticello, Mn.,
adopted July 28, 1980; January 12, 1981 and January 26, 1981, reports have been
prepared by John Badalich with reference to the improvement of the following:
1. Installation of storm sewer water drainage facilities and appurtenant
work on Cedar Street from the north side of the Burlington Northern
Railroad to Lauring Lane and from Lauring Lane south approximately
400' along Cedar Street extended.
2. Improvement of Marvin Elwood Road in the Meadows Subdivision with 1,520'of sewer;
1,730' of watermain extending to River Street; 1,600' of curb, gutter
and bituminous paving and 790' of concrete storm sewer to serve
Lots 1-14, Block 1; Lot 1, Block 2; Lots 10-15, Block 4; and Lots 1 & 2,
Block 5.
Storm sewer improvements would also serve Lots 3-11, Block 2 and Lots
2-5, Block 3; and storm sewer and bituminous paving would serve
Lot 2, Block 2 and Lots 1 & 9, Block 3.
3. Extension of sewer, water and blacktopping to that part of the NWT
of the NE'a lying south of County Road 75 in Section 4, Township 121N,
Range 25W in Monticello, MN.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Monticello, MN.,
as follows:
A. The City Council will consider the improvements of the above areas in
accordance with the reports and the assessment of abutting property
owners for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements, pursuant
to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, at an estimated cost of the improve-
ments of $536,640.00.
B. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvements on the
23rd day of March, 1981, in the Council Chamber of the Monticello City
Hall at 7:30 P.M., and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice
of such hearing and improvement, as required by law.
Adopted by the City Council on motion by Fran Fair, seconded by Ken Maus this
23rd day of February, 1981
