City Council Resolution 1979-06RESOLUTION RECEIVING UPDATED FEASIBILITY REPORT
AND CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON 79-1 IMPROVEME[VT
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Monticello, Minnesota
as follows:
1. It is hereby found and determined that Mr. John Badalich,
consulting engineer for the City of Monticello, has reported in a
preliminary way that a local improvement hereinafter described
__ is feasible and may best be made as proposed in conjunction with
the 1979-1 Improvement, and the estimated cost of said Improvement
to the City is $230,100.00.
2. Said Improvement consists of the following:
Extension of Sanitary Sewer, Storm Sewer
Facilities and Rural Type Streets along
Lauring Lane in Lauring Hillside Terrace
from Cedar Street easterly to Washington
Street, and from Washington Street northerly
to the Burlington Northern Railroad.
3. Said Improvements shall be designated as part of the
1979-1 Improvement and it is proposed to assess all or part of
the cost against the abutting property owners including:
A. Lauring Hillside Terrace
B. Portions of Blocks LM2, 1+3, ~7 and Ja.$.
!+. A Public Hearing will be held by the City Council on
Monday, April 9, 1979, at the Monticello City Hall on the pro-
posed Improvement.
5. The City Administrator is authorized and directed to
cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to
be published twice, a week apart, in the Monticello Times, the
official newspaper of the City. The last publication shall be
not less than 3 days prior to the date of said meeting and said
notice shall also be mailed to the owners of property in the area
proposed to be assessed not less than 10 days prior to date of
said meeting.
Motion by Phil White, seconded by Fran Fair, to adopt
Resolution this 26th day of March, 1979•
Voting in favor: Arve Grimsmo, Fran Fair, Phil White,
Dan Blonigen, Ken Maus.
Opposed: None.
