AND CALLING HEARING ON 197$-1 IMPROVEMIIVT

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Monticello, Minnesota as follows:
1. It is hereby found and determined that Mr. John Badalich, consulting
engineer for the City of Monticello, has reported in a preliminary way that a
local improvement hereinafter described is feasible and may best be made as
proposed, and not in conjunction with any other improvement, and the estimated
cost of said improvement to the G`ity is $1,528,600.
2. Said improvement consists of the following:
(A) Extension of .Curb, Gutter and Permanent Street Improvements
from the intersection of 6th and Pine Streets to 6th and
Cedar Streets.
(B) Extension of Sanitary Sewer, Watermain, Storm Sewer, Curb,
Gutter, and Permanent Street Improvements along all streets
within the following Subdivisions:
Sandberg South Plat
Riverside Plat
Country Club Manor Plat
Kampa Estates Plat
(C) Extensions of Sanitary Sewer, Storm Sewer, Curb, Gutter and
Permanent Street Improvements through Lauring Hillside Addition
from the intersection of 7th and Cedar to Washington and 7th Street.
(D) Extensions of Sanitary Sewer, Storm Sewer, Watermain, Curb,
Gutter, Street Lights and Permanent Street Improvements through
all streets within the Holker Subdivision Plat.
(E) Extension of Watermain and Bituminous Surfacing on Chelsea
Road from Lot 4 Block 2, Oakwood Industrial Park east to Lot 5
Block 2, Oakwood Industrial Park.
3. It is proposed to assess all or part of the cost against abutting
property owners of above improvements and additionally those areas included
in the feasibility report which is attached.
Li.. Said proposed improvement shall be designated as the 197$-1 Improvement.
5. A public hearing will be held by the City Council on Monday, the
22nd day of May, 197$, at the Monticello City Hall on the proposed improvement.
6. The City Administrator is authorized and directed to cause notice
of the time, place, and purpose of said meeting to be published twice, a
week apart, in the Monticello Times, the official newspaper of the City. The
last publication shall be not less than 3 days prior to the date of said
meeting and said notice shall also be mailed to the owners of property in the
area proposed to be assessed not less than 10 days prior to date of said
meeting.
