AND ALL AMENDMENTS THERETO, ONE COPY OF WHICH HAS BEEN MARKED AS
THE OFFICIAL COPS AND WHICH IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK, IS
HE'RE9Y ADOPTED AS THE FIRE CODE FOR THE CITY FOR 7HE PURPOSE OF PRESCRIBING
REULATIONS GOVERNING CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS TO LIFE AND PROPERTY FROM FIRE OF<
ExPLOSION• EVERY PROVISION CONTAINED IN 7H15 CODE, EXCEPT AS MODIFIED OR
AMENDED BY THIS OROINANCE~ IS HEREBY ADOPTED AND MADE A PART OF TH15 ORDINANCE
AS IF FULLY SET FORTH HEREIN.

(~a} THE CH+EF OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT SERVING THE CITY OR HIS REPRESENTATIVE
AUTHORIZED BY 1i1M, SHALL ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS. OF THIS ORDINANCE.
(B} THE CHIEF OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT MAY OETA1l SUCH. MEMBERS OF THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT AS INSPECTORS AS SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME BE NECESSARY. THE
CHIEF OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT MAY RECOMMEND THE EMPLO'+MENT OE TECHNICAL
INSPECTORS, wHO, WHEN SUCH AUTHORIZATION IS MADE, SHALL BE SELECTED
THROUGH AN EXAMINATION TO DETERMIN THEIR FITNESS FOR THE POSITION.
»E EXAMINATION SHALL BE OPEN TO MEMBERS AND NONMEMBERS OF THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT, AND APPOINTMEN'(S MADE AFTER EXAMINATION SHAH 8E FOR AN
INDEFINITE TERM WITH REMOVAL ONLY FOR CAUSE.

OR REFUSE TO GRANT A PERMIT APPLIED FOR, OR WHEN IT IS CLAIMED
TNAT THE PROVISIONS OF THE CODE DO NOT APPLY OR TNAT THE TRUE INTENT AND
MEANING OF THE CODE HAVE BEEN MISCONSTRUED OR WRONGLY INTERPRETED, THE
APPLICANT MAY APPEAL FROM THE DECISION OF THE CHIEF TO THE CITY COUNCIL

GIVING AFFECTED PERSONS AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE HEARD, ANY NEW MATERIALS,
PROCESSES OR OCCUPANCIES, WHICH SHALL REQUIRE PERMITS, IN ADDITION TO THOSE
NO1+! ENUMERATED IN SAIp CODE. THE CHIEF SHALL POST SUCH LIST IN A CONSPICUOUS
PLACE IN MIS OFFICE, AND DISTRIBUTE COPIES THEREOF TO INTERESTED PERSONS,

(A) ANY PERSON wN0 SHALL VIOLATE ANY OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE HEREBY
ADOPTED OR FAIL TO COMPLY THEREWITH, OR WHO SHALL VIOLATE OR FAIL TO

OF- ANY DETAILED STATEMENT OF SPECIFICATIONS OR PLANS SUBMITTED AND

AND FROM WHICH NO APPEAL HAS BEEN TAKEN, OR WHO SHALL FAIL TO COMPLY

COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION, WITHIN THE TIME FIXED HEREIN, SHALL

TIVELY, BE GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR, PUNISHABLE BY A FINE OF NOT EXCEEDING
