City Council Resolution 1976-23• i RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, ORDERING IMPROVEMENT, DIRECTING CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS AND APPROVING ASSESSMENT POLICY FOR THE 1977-1 STREET LIGHTING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Monticello, Minnesota as follows: (1) Orr-Schelen-Mayeron and Associates, the consulting engineer for the City, has submitted final plans and specifications for 19'7'7 Highway 2$ Street Lighting Improvement Project which are hereby adopted as submitted. (2) It is hereby determined that notice of hearing on Highway 25 street lighting improvements was duly mailed on 11~17~76 as required by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 and as ordered by Council Resolution adopted 11~11~76. (3) A public hearing having been held on this date and oppor- tunity having been given at such hearing to all persons to make known their views on said improvement, and the council being fully advised of the pertinent facts does hereby order the construction of said improvement in accordance with the description thereof contained in said notice of hearing. (4) The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the construction of said improvement to be pub- lished as required by law in the Monticello Times, the official newspaper of the city, (and the Construction Bulletin), not less than two (2) weeks before the time of bid opening, which shall take place at City Hall on Monday, December 13th, 1976 at 2:00 P.M. (5) It is hereby determined that the abutting property owners along Highway 25 will be assessed $0/ of the improvement costs for installation of (18) lights with assessments def erred on homestead property until such time as developed commercially, while property abutting the (7) fluorescent lights to be replaced will be assessed for 50/ of actual replacement costs. ~, /,f r~ Ma r W ~~i ity inistrator DATE : ~'/~ /~~
