A RESOLUTION BY THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY IN AND FOR THE CITY OF MONTICELLO AUTHORIZING
THE ACQUISITION AND DISPOSITION OF LANDS TO
RUSSELL V AND SHARON F MARTIE
WHEREAS, both the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in
and for the City of Monticello (the "Authority ") and
Russell V. and Sharon F. Martie (the "Redeveloper ") shall
agree to the terms of the Contract for Private Redevelopment
By and Between the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and
for the City of Monticello and Russell V. and Sharon F. Martie
and all the covenants therein; and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for
the City of Monticello has adopted the Tax Increment Finance
Plan relating to Tax Increment Finance District No. 1 -9;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission in and for the City of
Monticello has adopted the Tax Increment Finance Plan
relating to Tax Increment Finance District No. 1 -9 for
consistency with the Monticello Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Council in and for the City of Monticello shall
hold a Public Hearing and consider adoption of a Resolution
for the Establishment of Tax Increment Finance District No.
1 -9 and the approval and adoption of the Tax Increment
Finance Plan on January 22, 1990; and
WHEREAS, both the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and
for the City of Monticello and Russell V. and Sharon F. Martie
shall agree to Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and
No Cents ($17,500) as the level of Tax Increment Finance
assistance for the acquisition of raw lands described as:
That part of Lot 1, Block 3 of Oakwood Industrial
Park described as follows: Commencing at the
northwest corner of the said lot; thence South
along the west line 378.32 feet to a point;
thence East at a right angle 223 feet to a
point; thence North parallel with the West
line to a point on the North line; thence
West at a right angle to the point of beginning,
subject to drainage and utility easements of
record.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the
Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of
Monticello:
1. It will discourage commerce, industry, or
manufacturing from moving their operations
to another state.
2. It will result in increased employment in the
municipality.
3. It will result in preservation and enhancement
of the tax base of the municipality.
The Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City
of Monticello, Minnesota does hereby authorize the acquisition
and disposition of the said described raw lands to Russell V.
and Sharon F. Martie.

this 3rd day of January, 1990.
