A RESOLUTION BY THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY IN AND FOR THE CITY OF MONTICELLO AUTHORIZING
THE ACQUISITION AND DISPOSITION OF LANDS TO
REMMELE ENGINEERING, INC.
WHEREAS, both the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in
and for the City of Monticello (the "Authority ") and
Remmele Engineering, Inc. (the "Redeveloper ") shall agree
to the terms of the Contract between the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Monticello
and Remmele Engineering, Inc. and all the convenants
therein; and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for
the City of Monticello has adopted the Tax Increment Finance
Plan relating to Tax Increment Finance District No. 1 -10;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission in and for the City of
Monticello has adopted the Tax Increment Financing Plan
relating to Tax Increment Financing District No. 1 -10
for consistency with the Monticello Comprehensive Plan;
and
WHEREAS, the Council in and for .the City of Monticello shall
hold a Public Hearing and consider adoption of a Resolution
for the Establishment of Tax Increment Finance District No.
1 -10 and the approval and adoption of the Tax Increment
Finance Plan on March 12, 1990; and
WHEREAS, both the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and
for the City of Monticello and Remmele Engineering, Inc.
shall agree to One Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars and no
cents ($120,000.00) as the level of Tax Increment Finance
assistance for the acquisition of raw lands described as:
Lot 6, Block 1, Oakwood Industrial Park according
to the recorded plat thereof, Wright County, Minnesota.
The East 33.00 feet of said Oakwood Industrial Park
lying north of the easterly extension of the north
line of Chelsea Road of said Oakwood Industrial Park,
said East 33.00 feet shown as a Township Road.
That part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 13,
Township 121, Range 25, Wright County, Minnesota,
lying south of the southerly right -of -way line of
Interstate Highway I -94, north of Chelsea Road and
lying northwest of a line distant 80.00 feet northwest
of and parallel with a line described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southerly right -of -way
line of Interstate Highway I -94 distant 410.00 feet
southeast from the west line of said Northwest
Quarter as measured along said southerly right -
of -way line; thence southwesterly to a point on
the north line of Chelsea Road distant 180.00 feet
wourtheast from said west line of the Northwest
Quarter as measured along said north line of Chelsea
Road and said line there terminating.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the governing body of the
Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of
Monticello:
1. It will discourage commerce, industry, or
manufacturing from moving their operations
to another state.
2. It will result in increased employment in the
municipality.
3. It will result in preservation and enhancement
of the tax base of the municipality.
The Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City
of Monticello, Minnesota does hereby authorize the acquisition
and disposition of the said described raw lands to Remmele
Engineering, Inc.
Adopted by the Monticello Housing and Redevelopment Authority
this 17th day of March, 1990.
