Member. Miller provided some background information about herself and identified
her interest in serving on the Police Advisory Commission.
4. Wright County Sheriffs Office Updates /O &A Session.
Sgt. Anderson said that there have been some issues in Monticello including a couple
vehicle pursuits. There have been a few vehicle break -ins here and there but nothing
where the area can be pinpointed. The road construction has not caused accidents and
drivers seem to be accustomed to maneuvering through the construction.

Lt. Sandin said the big box stores have been targeted not more than usual but it seems to
be the same groups that hit the big box stores in Buffalo as well. There tends to be more
issues with groups targeting stores in the outlet mall in Albertville.
Sgt. Anderson said that the City Administrator told him he is considering bringing the
option to the City Council for installing surveillance cameras in the parks and he wanted
the input from the PAC. Sgt. Anderson said that they'll use the camera but when it
comes down to searching through the data, storing the data and searching through to
pinpoint the time of vandalism that would not be done by their department and would
have to be handled by City staff. Jason Roubinek would like to look into the option of
purchasing cameras with other cities to share them and that may be more cost effective.
This will be reviewed and brought back to the October meeting.
Discussed trying to promote neighborhoods to become more aware and work together to
create neighborhood watches and people to become more vested in their communities.
Sgt. Anderson said there are constant speeders on Broadway and traffic calls are up.
Reviewed the new proposed law enforcement contract.
