None.
4. Discuss possible ioint purchase of surveillance camera with other communities.
Wayne Oberg explained that there has been a rash of vandalism at the parks and a
recommendation was brought to the City Council to purchase security cameras for the
parks but the Council voted it down 3 -2. There were further conversations about getting
a portable camera to share at community events. Oberg said he is not sure if Wright
County has considered purchasing a portable shared surveillance camera for all
communities under law enforcement contract; Lt. Sandin said he is not aware of that.
The consensus of the PAC is to recommend that the Wright County Sheriff's Office
purchase a surveillance camera unit to be a shared -use camera at contract cities.
5. Wright County Sheriff s Office Updates /O &A Session.
Lt. Sandin provided Wright County Sheriff Office updates and he stated that overall
throughout the summer it was fairly quiet, with a few vehicle break -ins and the deputies
tend to spend more time in the big box stores.
Oberg said there was a concern about a homeless man living under a tree in Ellison Park
and he asked Lt. Sandin if there are services available at Wright County where these

individuals can be directed to for help. Lt. Sandin said the best procedure is to contact
the Sheriff's Office and then they can reach out to them and direct them to the
appropriate sources for help.
Lt. Sandin said the new record keeping system is working well. The reports can be
broken down which is very helpful. The dispatch center really likes the system, they
determine what the call is (such as medical, domestic, theft, etc.), then pertinent questions
come up for the dispatchers to ask, so it's very helpful and the new system is working
really well. Brad Fyle said he would like to see a graphic to compare changes to see
areas that may be of more concern. Fyle asked Lt. Sandin to submit quarterly reports
with graphs to the PAC.
